I’m Melissa and I’m here to help.
I moved to the Frederick area in 2022 and I’m proud to offer lactation support to the greater Frederick area, Southern PA, and parts of WV. I have been providing support to new families for over seven years. My personal experience and challenges with infant feeding fueled my passion to become an IBCLC. Three children later, my passion is helping others to meet their feeding goals. How can I help you?
Why see an IBCLC?
For help with latching and positioning.
Baby isn’t gaining enough weight.
You are unsure if baby is getting enough milk.
The latch is uncomfortable.
You need help with your pump.
Baby is fussy during feedings.
There is audible clicking or slurping noises with feeding.
Nipple damage, mastitis, plugged or painful ducts.
Baby chokes on milk while feeding.
You are told you need to supplement.
Your baby seems to not tolerate when you eat certain foods.

In home support
Lactation support in your home. I will bring my scale and supplies. Full medical history and assessment for parent and infant. A weighed feed and full assessment of nursing are performed.
Virtual Support
Lactation support through a secure telehealth platform. A full medical history and virtual assessment for parent and infant. Virtual assessment of nursing.

Cancellation
Please cancel more than 24 hours before your appointment or a cancellation fee will apply. If you or baby are ill, you can switch to telehealth with no fee. You may also reschedule without fees if your appointment is more than 12 hours out.
